Privacy Policy – Wardrobe
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Wardrobe is an app for keeping track of your clothes, outfits and packing lists. It works fully on your phone. This policy explains what happens to your information.
Who is responsible
The app is published by Marko Kostic. You can contact me at wardrobe.app.feedback@gmail.com.
The short version
- Everything you enter stays on your phone.
- The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting.
- The app does not connect to the internet and has no permission to do so.
- I do not receive, see or store any of your data.
The "Privacy policy" link in Settings → About opens this page in your web browser. That is your browser connecting, not the app.
What the app stores on your phone
The app saves what you add to it: items (names, photos, brand, colour, size, price, notes and similar), outfits, packing lists and your settings. This data is kept in the app's private storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read it. Removing the app from your phone removes this data.
Permissions and device features
- Camera: used only when you choose to take a photo of an item. The app asks Android's camera app to take the picture and does not have camera access of its own.
- Photos: when you choose a picture from your gallery, the app uses Android's Photo Picker. It only receives the pictures you pick and cannot browse your other photos or files.
When information leaves your phone
The app never sends anything by itself. Information leaves your phone only when you do one of the following.
- Backup to your Google account. This is switched off until you turn it on in Settings ("Back up to Google account"). When on, Android backs up the app's data to your own Google account, under Google's terms and privacy policy. Full-size photos are left out; thumbnails are included. Android's phone-to-phone transfer, if you use it, also moves the app's data to your new phone. You can turn the backup off in the app, and delete existing backups in your Google account settings.
- Backup file. If you create a backup file from Settings, it is saved where you choose. You decide where to keep it and who can see it.
- Sharing or saving a packing list. If you share a packing list as a text file, it goes to the app you pick. If you save it, it goes to the place you pick.
- Sending feedback. "Send feedback" in Settings opens your email app with a message addressed to me. The message can include the app version, your Android version and your phone model, and a screenshot if you add one. Nothing is sent until you press send in your email app. I use what you send only to answer your message and to improve the app.
Sharing with others
I do not sell, share or give your information to anyone. The app contains no advertising or tracking code.
Your choices
You can edit or delete any item, outfit or packing list in the app at any time. "Delete all data" and uninstalling the app remove everything stored on your phone. Backups you made yourself or in your Google account stay until you delete them.
Children
The app is not aimed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Open-source software
The app uses open-source libraries. They are listed with their licences under Settings → About → Open-source licences. None of them send information from your phone.
Changes to this policy
If the app changes in a way that affects your privacy, I will update this page and the date at the top. Using the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
